TSA

TSA protects the Nation's transportation systems to ensure freedom of movement for people and commerce. The agency's core vision is to continuously set the standard for excellence in transportation security through its people, processes and technology. Among TSA's numerous activities, the agency provides grants to the public to aid in the enhancement of security programs and training and develops guidance for industry to ensure all modes of transportation understand how to detect and report security threats.

Surface Transportation Security Advisory Committee

The TSA Modernization Act of 2018 established the Surface Transportation Security Advisory Committee (STSAC) to advise the TSA Administrator on surface transportation security matters, including development, refinement, and implementation of policies, programs, initiatives, rulemakings, and security directives pertaining to surface transportation security.  CI staff was appointed to the STSAC, along with 36 other voting members representing a wide range of surface transportation carriers and customers.  More details can be found on the STSAC webpage.
