Celebrating Safety Excellence: 39 Facilities Earn CI’s Diamond Level Recognition for 2024
CI has honored 39 member facilities around the world with its prestigious Diamond Level designation for 2024, the highest level of recognition for safety and environmental performance in the chlor-alkali industry.
This distinction, presented at CI’s 2025 Annual Meeting, reflects an unwavering industry commitment to protecting people, communities, and the environment. Facilities receiving this honor demonstrated five consecutive years of zero recordable injuries, zero reportable quantity (RQ) incidents, and zero Risk Management Plan (RMP) reportable accidents—a true testament to their dedication to CI’s “Aim for Zero” philosophy.
“This year’s Diamond Level facilities didn’t just aim for zero—they achieved it,” said CI President Frank Reiner. “Their outstanding performance sets the benchmark for excellence across the industry.”
The recognition spans chlor-alkali producers, chlorine packagers, sodium hypochlorite manufacturers, and chlorine end users, reinforcing the value of CI’s comprehensive resources and the industry’s strong culture of safety and continuous improvement.
