CI-Sponsored TRANSCAER Training Brings More Than 60 Emergency Responders Together in Syracuse

Latest News,

Three days. More than 60 responders. A lot of hands-on training.

From September 9–11, The Chlorine Institute (CI) hosted Chlorine Rail Safety & Hazmat Emergency Response Training in Syracuse, New York, bringing together more than 60 emergency responders for three days of classroom instruction, hands-on exercises, and practical emergency response training.

Held at the Syracuse Fire Department Training and Maintenance Facility, the CI-sponsored TRANSCAER training focused on preparing responders to safely and effectively manage hazardous materials emergencies involving chlorine and rail transportation.

Through classroom instruction and practical field exercises, participants had the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge, build hands-on experience, and prepare for the challenges of responding to hazardous materials incidents.
