August Member Spotlight – Honoring Warren Prince
It is with deep respect and gratitude that we remember Warren Prince, a true leader in the chlor-alkali industry and a long-standing, active participant in the CI community. Warren peacefully passed away on August 3, 2025, at the age of 96, surrounded by his loving family at their home in Lake Placid, New York.
Warren’s legacy is rooted in the company he helped build and lead for decades. In 1953, Warren and his father co-founded Industrial Plastics Canada Ltd., and following his father's passing in the mid-1960s, Warren took the helm of Prince Rubber & Plastics Co., Inc., where he served as CEO. His leadership spanned generations, culminating in the company’s transition to employee ownership in 2016.
Warren was widely known, respected, and admired across the industry. His dedication to innovation, safety, and collaboration made him a valued voice in the chlor-alkali sector. He was a committed supporter of CI’s mission and initiatives, and his contributions helped shape the direction of our shared work.
Tom S. Hanshar, CEO of Prince Rubber & Plastics Co., Inc., shared:
“Warren and I traveled together for years across Canada, Europe, and the U.S. He was more than a business partner—he was a buddy in a father-and-son sense.”
Warren deeply valued the contributions of his employees and associates, always championing the industry and the people who make it thrive. His guidance, generosity, and unwavering commitment left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Warren’s family and friends. His memory will continue to inspire us.
Rest in peace, Warren.
