CI Staff Attend World Chlorine Council (WCC) Global Chlorine Safety Seminar

During the week of October 13, 2025, multiple staff members (Frank Reiner, Robyn Brooks, and Daniel Stein) participated in the World Chlorine Council (WCC) + Safety Seminar. The first day of the event was dedicated to the safety seminar and many industry experts attended this full day session. Both Robyn and Daniel provided presentations on safety and environmental related topics. Crowd participation was lively throughout the session and event feedback was positive with many persons forming new connections.

World Chlorine Council Meeting Attendees and Chemtrade Staff

On the second day, Chemtrade graciously hosted WCC members at their chlor alkali production facility located in North Vancouver, BC, CA. The day began with an overview of the company and facility priorities, with an emphasis on community engagement and relations with First Nations indigenous peoples. A thorough and wonderful field tour was then provided, highlighting some of the unique resources and infrastructure inherent to this location. Chemtrade team members were wonderful hosts and provided many opportunities for questions and answers. The final day concluded with regional reports and management committee activities. Frank provided a regional report on behalf of the Chlorine Institute. Key determinations were made regarding future World Chlorine Council activities and meetings.
